Embarking on the Signature Hardware project, a consumer-facing brand under the umbrella of industry giant Ferguson Hardware, presented an exciting opportunity to reimagine and elevate the online shopping experience. The project involved a comprehensive replatforming to Salesforce, accompanied by significant brand identity enhancements that I spearheaded during the design process through regular client presentations and feedback sessions.

Landing Page

Our focus extended beyond mere aesthetics to incorporate custom page designer components, introducing fresh landing page elements, and creating new opportunities for merchandising.

  • One of the standout features of this endeavor was the development of a completely custom Favorites implementation. This innovative feature allowed users to curate multiple lists, add and remove items at will, and effortlessly share selections across various social media platforms.

  • We leveraged interactive maps to showcase Signature Hardware's physical locations. The Product Listing Page (PDP) and Product Detail Page (PDP) underwent refinement to accommodate variables, aligning with Ferguson’s promotional requirements.

  • Navigating through complexities extended to the My Account and Cart sections, given the myriad variables and add-ons available. To further enhance the user experience, we introduced a custom suggested add-on feature at the cart stage, aimed at encouraging upsells and maximizing value for customers.

Favorites

A custom Favorites implementation allowed users to curate multiple lists, add and remove items at will, and share selections to their partners, friends, wedding party, and more.

A default list enabled quick saves, while users could drill down to create as many lists as they desired.

PLP & PDP

The PLP gave users power to see product variants, compare product, view ratings, and granular filtering options. Categorization and pricing strategies were complex areas for their diverse offerings

The PDP had to be a workhorse for the variety of products it handled. I had 18 variations of this page, each displaying unique use cases so the client could visualize every variable.

Custom components were crafted for the details section, providing flexibility beyond the typical PDP.

Throughout this transformative journey, our goal remained steadfast: to create an immersive and intuitive digital platform that showcased Signature Hardware's extensive product offerings and provided users a delightful shopping experience, start to finish.
